I was doing this during the summer months to get more Trail Camera Pictures, until the bears and a trespasser found my site. Putting Vaseline on metal poles of a tripod feeder works like a charm though and deer seem to get used to it. But…this would be right next to the peanut butter. Longest I’ve had it up was 2 weeks. haha as if they wait for me to fill it up than knock it over and have a buffet.
